Permits..... and Community Development

Well I have not blogged anything in quite some time. I was honestly thinking that this project was going no further until last Monday. Actually it would probably go back to Thursday the 18th. That is when it all started to get better.
It it all started with a big RED TAG. Yep we pissed off community development and that was not the way to go. I admit we were wrong and I even told them we screwed up. We got a little ahead of our self and started to dig. Didn't think it would be that big a deal since we were not trying to skip the permit, our application was in. We just wanted to be ready to pull for an inspection once they were in place because this is starting SO LATE in the season. My bad. I mean the snow could fly in October here. Well that premature dig sent Daron the inspector over the edge and he deemed us "high risk" for our soil disturbance. Seriously???? So we then had to higher a engineer to do his job for him, prove him wrong and still pray they admit we are not high risk. Thanks to Jack, the supervisor, all that was fixed but it was scary for a couple of weeks.
In this time my Grandfather lost his dog Tamuis which crushed us all,  my dog is diagnosed with Cancer, a fast growing tumor in his head and it is inoperable. Yes we did actually think about an operation and chemo, he is not even 5 and after a 3 year puppy eat everything phase he is the best dog we have ever had. I had another deer commit suicide and run into the side of my Jeep. Robs dodge is having more issues. It has been in the shop more than me for crying out loud.  Lastly, my father in law has a heart-attach and needs to have a triple bypass. REALLY, I mean I was ready to chuck it all. Then Jody took me for a pedicure and life started to turn around. I think she thought I was going to go postal. Yes a pedi changed my life, or at least my outlook.
Monday we were able to draw the site disturbance permit and Rod said we have 1 number off on our plans so hopefully the engineer can clear that up. Our plans are so over engineered it is flipping ridiculous. They have WAY to much time at community development.  No wonder no one is building in our county. They make is so unpleasant. My father in law came through surgery and is back home and giving Gloria hell I am sure, and I have a huge hole in the ground along with lines of where the house will sit. We close on the loan this week and then it is full bore until the roof is on and we are dried in. I am much more positive and drinking a little less. My pain for the most part will be over, and it will all be Rob's stress. That has taken affect. I woke up at seven this morning to find Rob, eyes wide open and brain going a hundred miles an hour. Welcome to my world Love. I know I will need more wine to deal with Rob.
