The latest Smith and our visitors from afar

I would like to introduce you to Reeses Cup. I did not pick the name I will have you know, but three to one and I was out voted. She Is our newest member. After losing Lugar last summer, it was time. We adopted her from an animal rescue in Priest River We actually are just her foster parents until she is fixed. She is a Basset and Lab mix. So sweet and the mellowest puppy I have ever met. We are in love.
We also have some visitors. The Rices are here all the way from Paris! We are so excited. It has been a busy weekend for us full of family and fun. The kids stayed here last night. I miss them soooo much. Miss Jaylee, who is not a total dog lover ( the streets of Paris and dog droppings has hardened her) is even taken with Reese. She puppy sat while I took a shower and kept Reese in line. Her mother is strong in her. She made sure Reese towed the line, stayed down and didn't do any business while I was busy.
Aidan kept busy with video games. Robby set him up before he left for school as I am not sure how to run the thing. His smile is the best! Pretty sure all he has to do is flash that and he will get whatever he wants from me.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter all. I had to write something about today. Jordan and Robby were the Easter bunny and Chick in the Pinehurst Parade on Saturday. They make me so proud. Jordan is the pink bunny and she got her friend Seantel to be the other bunny. Robby wanted to be a bunny but we got there late so guess who got to be the chick.
Funny story here but I better not post it. Just call me if you want a good laugh over tights.

And this is how our Easter animals travel, by tailgate! Only in the Valley.

I got my picture taken with the Easter bunny and chick. You are never to old.
And they led the parade well too. Look at the classic parade wave.

But I have to add these few pics of the house. We have the front door in. I am ok with it. I wish I would have seen a few others first but I still think it looks nice.

Rob has been working on the railing and I have been painting for what seems like an eternity. I am hoping that I will finish tomorrow. You never know how truly big a house is until you paint almost every square inch. Ridiculous. I have blisters for crying out loud. I have to get this finished because I have to get on the doors next. I have jobs piling up and am thankful for the time to do it.

I am thankful for the lessons I have learned, the blessing I have, and the Lord for dying for me. I know who is in charge and today I remember what he gave for little old me. Jesus, thank you.

Drywall and paint

Well we have separate rooms. Drywall is up, it is taped and textured. Now you get the real feeling of the house and I have to say I love the design even more. Do you love my arch, I do. Thank you Rob. It is one of my favorite things in the house

The kitchen. Jordan and Rob are so cute
Robby's room and the view. Jordan gave him the idea of a zipline to the tree house. Because he hasn't had enough broken bones!

My bedroom and bath.
Don't we look happy. Ha ha Robby is pissed in this pic if you couldn't tell. Now we have the fun part of painting. Oh man it is a chore. Jordan is a terrible painter but by the time we finish she will be all pro.

We are down 1 sprayer that we borrowed. Worked for all of five minutes and so you know what that means..... we are hand rolling it. Love to do things the hard way. I remember Pops Myrick telling Rob " if it weren't for bad luck you wouldn't have any at all Rob". Boy that sucks sometimes. I am just saying.

Anyway, Rob is no fun to paint with. He rides us all the time but after he leaves, we have paint fights. We will show him. Look at the hand placement by my daughter. It was so much fun.

That ceiling is a neck killer. And no project is complete with out a check in from this gentleman.
Isn't he cute. I was trying to remember that after he walked in wet paint and then went inside the other house to use the bathroom. I have DARK green carpet that had lovely white shoe prints. Fun to scrub out. Thankful it was water based paint.
Lastly I had to add this. So sad we are totally geeking out electronically at our house. This is our family down time. Each with our electronic devices. I had to get a picture of this. Hey a family that surfs together stays together.
